So I’ve been AWOL for quite some time, if you noticed. I have been dealing with some personal matters i.e. family, work, friends, and myself. No reasoning needed, I just want a little personal space. Just so you know; I am completely fine. My family and friends are the best people I have, and I can totally say I am happy to have them and be around them. Actually, I’m contented with just having them for now. I’m such a lucky one. I am currently avoiding interacting with other people because for one, I am not comfortable talking and telling stories to people I just know, strangers, if you know what I mean. Two, I just want to keep intact with the people who are substantial in my life right now. Three, we all have our moments.

I’m sorry for not keeping my word of filling this blog with my wonderful adventures of traveling and delightful eating. Don’t worry I will be back with so many things to share! I assure you that I won’t miss a thing, but I will be taking my time since I have sort of things to attend to, and it’s quite a bunch tbh.

Here’s a little teaser from my cebu-bohol escapade last August. This trip was one of the highlights of my year.

Just some thoughts: At some point or another, we get used with our lives. It is a deal we make to get what we want or what we need.

Catch up with you soon!

My country, Philippines, is suffering from heavy rain and devastating floods right now. The non-stop rain since yesterday triggered the overflowing dams in different places. It was reported that three major dams in Luzon are continuously releasing excess water. This isn’t a storm yet, and that’s something we should be worried about. Red alert in Metro Manila was already raised due to the massive flooding the city is experiencing. Many are now forced to evacuate, and some are still trying to save what they can. Rescuers are risking their own lives to save other people. And before anything else, I would like to appreciate the effort they’ve been putting. They have their own families too, but they are still stepping up to help others who are much in need. I’m very proud of you!

Lucky are the people who are not affected by this disaster, but please let us not forget to extend our hands to help those families in need in any way possible. Let us focus on the needs of our fellowmen. Use social-networking sites to get and send rescue. Spread the news and the ways we can help. Let’s not bombard it with non-sense issues and people who are not concern with the calamities we are experiencing. Let us use our eyes and ears to rescue the affected ones. Now is the time to be pro-active. Let’s be sensitive to the needs of the people around us and let us not be scared to ask for help if in need. Remember to prioritize our own lives, we can never replace it unlike the material stuff. Value life more than the properties, please.

To everyone, the best thing to do is pray.

Let’s all pray for everyone’s safety and ask for His guidance. Let’s keep our faith strong. God will help us through.

And I quote,

There’s a rainbow always after the rain.

- South Border, Rainbow

Let’s be one.

Here’s a song and a prayer for everyone. I got this from a friend through a social-networking site, a reminder that our God is with us all the time.

May His divine assistance remain always with us.

Be safe and God bless us all!

Keep the faith,
HB.

It was our first time in Ocean Park last February, and my father decided to go alfresco dining despite the nipping wind blowing by the area. After our cable car ride, we tried Terrace Cafe for late lunch, which is located just beside the uphill cable car terminal. It was foggy and freezing! I even insisted to dine inside, but my father wanted to enjoy the magnificent scenic view.

It was really a beautiful view!

The restaurant itself is beautiful, and the glass balcony made it appealing. It is basically a balcony beside the sea plus the cold breeze. Super cool place, really! We chose a table beside a heater since I badly needed the heat. I’m a person who gets cold easily. Too bad, the heater didn’t work enough for me.

Say hello to my cutie cute granny! She’s that cold, see!

Coffee to keep me warm!

Of course, I had hot coffee to break the coldness in me. It was very thick and creamy, but it was too windy that’s why it turned out cold so fast.

My brother ordered a lamb and a pasta, plus iced cold beer!

I tried the lamb chop, and it was so soft and mouthwatering. And then I ordered a carbonara in penne with yummy bacon. I’m a pasta person so you know the deal. The cream was thick, but I would love it if it’s creamier and saucy.

Pumpkin and Seafood Baked Rice

This was one of the cutest and unique order we had! My cute granny had this, and I regret not having this. Lol. I tried it, and it was very creamy and cheesy just how I wanted for my carbonara. The pumpkin helped keeping the rice warm and cute. :)

Izabel’s meal

So kiddos have this typical kind of meal. French fries, spaghetti, vienna sausages, and gelatine. Since it’s a kiddie meal, they get a tea and a Haagen-Dazs for dessert! No one bothered eating it because it’s too cold! I can’t even remember who ate it. I think it’s papa!

Medium rare steeeeeak

I also ordered this but I had this for sharing. I like steak when it’s medium rare because it’s tender, and I get to enjoy the real taste of the meat. It’s zooo yummeeeh!

Tropical Burger

My super sweet parents shared this meal. They even had to finish Izabel’s meal because the portions were quite big for one person.

Happy eating couple. How cute parents I have!!

All in all, it was a great dining experience in Ocean Park because we were able to really experience eating at the theme park at its fullest. Food is above average, and the ambiance is kinda cool. It was fulfilling too! We finished everything and walked out with happy tummies!

It was very challenging for me to dine with the cold breeze though. Can you imagine me? ;)
